SERGE BENHAYON – A LOCAL GLOBAL PHENOMENON

I first met Serge Benhayon back in 1999 when he was still working as a tennis coach and doing healing work on the side. For the next 10 years I continued to have one on one healing sessions with Serge and, as his client, observe what started as a relationship between a client and local practitioner offering what seemed like just another “alternative therapy”, develop into a global phenomenon. How could this be?

Byron Bay and the local area are filled with any possible healing modality you can think of. The local newspaper and notice boards are jam-packed with advertisements from practitioners; there are a number of healing therapy directories available online and in print media to choose from, but Serge has never advertised his services. This in and of itself should stop anyone and everyone in their tracks. How do you become global without self-promotion?

It is difficult to fathom in a world that is stifled with advertising to such degrees that the only way to get through the miasma is to develop a set of analytics to specifically target advertisements based on our movements and interactions on the internet.

None of this has happened with Serge whatsoever. No targeting, no getting people to door knock or drop flyers in your letterbox. No one has been specifically sent out by him to tout his services or those of his business Universal Medicine.

At the time I first met Serge I was at a crisis point. Whilst the medical profession had been great in diagnosing a condition that they felt needed surgical intervention, there was no one within this profession that was able to offer me the emotional support to assist me through something that felt terrifying if I was not able to understand why this illness/disease was happening to me. At the time I would have said I was looking for ‘spiritual healing’, something that could work with the body and the emotional state I had gotten myself into without psychoanalysing (getting too heady about it).

I wanted to get my body/mind into a state where I felt I could make a sensible decision about how I was to move forward in regard to the surgery and I most certainly was not feeling sensible at the time. When in this state I did not like the feeling of the strong mental and emotional pull to give in to a medical system that was not taking me fully into consideration. Interestingly I found this also occurring in all of the healing modalities I tried, in and around Byron Shire, until I met Serge.

What Serge has always offered and has had me returning to him as my practitioner, is the opportunity to connect deeply to my soul and build confidence in my body so it and I could discern what was true from me without imposition.

It has been such an amazing phenomenon to experience; it has now branched out beyond my initial process of how I wanted to work with an impending surgical procedure, to how I live, breath and move in my daily life, so I can return to a love of self and humanity that feels normal and does not reflect necessarily what the outside world says is normal these days.

And this has all come from a man who dared to take the first steps back to love and allow what has unfolded to develop into a global and growing phenomenon that we can all have for ourselves, as we come together, back to who we truly are - the all-loving, all-knowing beings who have a responsibility to bring who they truly are out into the world and live it in full.

I am forever appreciative of the opportunity I have had to observe a man who started off humbly as a practitioner way back in 1999 and maintain that humility all the way to this point when he is now highly sought after in his work as a practitioner of life, inspiring many to live the loving way, The Way of the Livingness.

Thank you Serge, for the inspiration to return to my forever deepening love for all that is.

This is the gold in the relationship with Serge Benhayon, the absolute equalness of how he approaches EVERYTHING. Nothing and no one is less than another, all are massively important. I have learned so much from his example and have found that everything I now do can be imbued with purpose. Through learning this I have found that things I would have resented in the past, like having to clean my house, I can now do with enjoyment not feeling it is taking me away from anything more important that I have to do. As a result I am not invested in doing any one thing over another and my life is much smoother (without any highs and lows) like it would have been before.

I am aware of the pockets of jealousy I still hold, of the desire to own knowledge, the desire to still be individual and separate from all others, wanting recognition and so on. Even while these things can feel very subtle at times they are a world away from where Serge Benhyon is and so when I am with him I am blown away by his level of love, integrity and service of humanity, because none of the above run through his body.

For nearly 20 years, Serge has been presenting the same thing, but has never needed any sort of promotion or big advertising campaign for people to get to know the amazingnes that he is. Simply by being himself, never holding back on what he knows to be true and sharing that with the rest of the world, brings him to this point in time where so many have now benefited from his deep wisdom and love, by living a life that is true and uncompromising when it comes to love and truth.

The world has been blessed with the wisdom and the common sense of Serge Benhayon for 20 price-less years. I have known him for 14 of those years, and I know he will be in my life for many more. I have been so inspired by the wisdom and common sense this very amazing, but very humble man, presents and lives, that I have made many changes to the way I live and as a result, my well-being, my health and the quality of my life has improved out of sight, and I know that it will continue to do so.

When someone first mentioned Serge Benhayon to me I just knew he was someone I had to meet. During the first presentation I attended I didn't really understand the enormity of the man I was meeting (although I could feel his quality) - that took time to sink in, but what I did know was that he made total and utter sense and confirmed things in me that I knew but had been dismissed by others in our prevailing consciousness, which had therefore made me doubt myself. When Serge explained how it is I simply knew that I wasn't crazy and that he was someone who totally got it!

How do you become global without self-promotion? Clearly this is an unusual situation, but such is Serge Benhayon's reputation that word of mouth is the only promotion needed. He is the only person I have found, (excepting his family!) that speaks truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, whilst holding tenderness, care and love to a level never experienced before. Who wouldn't want to experience that?

Serge Benhayon sets a new benchmark in speaking truth, and does so with such enormous respect, integrity and a tender openness that people want to share what they have experienced and that the changes that occur in them back their words up to the hilt. This is not just 'word of mouth' advertising, its 'real, positive, lasting change' advertising too.

Interesting isn't it that all this expansion has happened without 'self-promotion'. I feel there is something in self-promotion that is needy and negates the natural expansion of a truly healing way. Someone recently asked me why Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine don’t engage in advertising or marketing as they were amazed by it. My answer went along the line of you don’t need to sell truth - people either feel it or they don’t. Marketing has become so accepted that people find it odd when someone chooses not to do it but perhaps the really strange thing is the fact that we blindly accept the fact that lies are sold to us on a daily basis.

As you say this raises questions as regards advertising, marketing and what is really going on there - and why we have so much push to selling things. Why is it that we accept this constant push of marketing, advertising, cold calling, etc - why don't we say enough is enough? From the moment I met Serge Benhayon I knew it was truth - it felt familiar and reawakened something deep inside me. Serge has never ever suggested I attend any of his presentations, workshops or read any of his books etc - I have felt of my own accord to read the books, go to the presentations without any need of convincing.

We don't need to sell the truth, it clearly speaks for it self and this is what has made Serge Benhayon's business so successful, because the commodity offered is Absolute Truth, a resource that by his own volition is available to us all. I came from a marketing and sales background and the one thing that really stood out for me was that Serge never sold or pushed anything. He never had stacks of books for sale, or hyped up book signing, he was and always has been humble in his approach. It was very appealing and I could feel so much integrity, there was nothing that felt like he was there to make money off people, unlike so many other places I had been to. How refreshing. no imposition. just being free to choose what was needed to support myself, no need for anything else.

I also have found a profound difference between what Serge offers in workshops and healing sessions and other healers and presenters I have experienced. What Serge always offers is without hooks, needs on his part, or any imposition, and he never drops his personal integrity or the equality with all he lives. He is also very supportive of the medical profession which is unheard of in complementary and alternative medicine. Other healers and presenters I worked with were pretty much there for themselves and their unhealed hurts, and they were often personally invested in outcomes and very identified with what they did. There was at times a sense of rank and definite inequality. with the healer or presenter being the star of the show – nothing like that with Serge which is very healing in itself.

Me too Natalie. In the early days, I used to think that I would get on a mailing list and they would remind me of the dates, as most companies do these days, but no such email came. I used to miss things and find out later that I would have liked to have attended and then I realised that it is my responsibility to check and get myself organised and not have someone else do it for me.

What makes a truly successful business and practitioner? Make your focus about people and their wellbeing first and you have a business model that is worthwhile studying and emulating. I was at a workshop last week at Universal Medicine and Serge himself was putting out chairs. To me that says a lot about who he is - common sense, humble, ordinary, but totally extraordinary.

It is amazing to see what is possible when we, like Serge, make love our foundation in life. Life changes for me, lets say 180 degrees, incomparable of how I experienced life to be before. At the time I met Serge Benhayon in the UK too, there was no one who was walking their talk. Serge Benhayon takes integrity to its truest level in the understanding that how you live impacts on all those around you and that in its lowest form it simply isn't professional to put your hands on someone if you have been living in disregard yourself. It is not possible to connect with anyone if you are first not connected to yourself and this makes total sense to me.

Yes. Which, like the zero advertising, is unseen anywhere else in the world. Here is a man who is actively inviting us to take care of ourselves, to take our own responsibility, to make our own moves. A man who is inspiring us to know that we already know it all. He has no magical powers but lives love, integrity and truth everyday, in all his thoughts, speech, words, presentations, - that is - his movements - are all for one purpose. Most of us can't conceive having that commitment to be love in the world, but from his livingness, thousands are inspired. That is how he has gone global - by living love, integrity and truth.

Knowing Serge for also almost 10 years I know that he could write books about to how many and in what medical unexplainable ways he supported people. You would call them miracles and I could see and witness them with my own eyes. But he does not advertise all this, as it is not about any hocus pocus and to hook as many people in as possible. Someone feeling attracted to his teaching is welcomed, someone who isn´t is welcomed too. He does not need to convince anyone and I always loved this spacious way of offering the wisdom he represents, without imposing in any way shape or form.

I agree and it certainly brings a more rounded or complete approach to what responsibility truly is. It was a thing that was held over my head as a point you are needing to live up to and yet you could never really touch it consistently. Where as now it's moment but moment point of awareness of "every thought, action, movement." It's not perfection based or pressure tested but a simple awareness of movement that then keeps building on itself, you could say ever expanding. Serge Benhayon is a true story of integrity, role modelling, inspiration, and free will - in that Serge never asks anyone to do something, it is always left completely up to us - and with no advertising or marketing - there is a new model that breaks the current mould as it is completely voluntary - there are no expectations on anyone who attends, no one follows you up or checks if you are coming again, no one badgers you with emails or marketing materials - you are left to have your own view completely as to whether you will attend again, or not. Which in my experience shows the truth of Serge Benhayon - as the 100's and 100s who do attend year after year do so without any pressure - of their own accord, and new people seek Serge out of their own accord too.

I met Serge Benhayon after many years of working in a marketing company, and also witnessing numerous New Age organisations aggressively push their services, often encouraging their followers to do it for them, in return for extra kudos and recognition. I was credulous that there was no leaflet in sight and no one was telling me about any other workshops, in fact not until I went and specifically enquired did I get any information. Right from day one the way Serge Benhayon’s reflected a different way of living which held far more honouring, transparency and integrity than anything I had come across.
Later when I heard about his view on the relationship between similar business – instead of competition and trying to win a greater share at the expense of the other, to cooperate and work together so as to deliver a service of the best quality, care and integrity to humanity – I cried. Like you Suzanne I am forever appreciative of the opportunity to meet this deeply loving, wise and inspiring man.

I once did some advertising work for a very expensive brand of wrist watch. It was fascinating talking to them in that a huge amount of their attention, spending and mission was directed toward existing clients. The aim being to make them feel even better about the watch they had bought, even more convinced that it was the best watch ever, so that they would then feel great about the enormous amount of money they had spent and tell all their friends or buy another one etc...It was all about building the kudos of the brand within the community of those that already had the watch. So clients were invited to special events, special brochures and films were sent to existing clients etc....A huge amount of money was being spent on this angle. This confused me. Surely if the watch is as good as it claims to be, then the watch speaks for itself? What Serge offers humanity speaks for itself.

So so true from the big to the small. Last night my usual quilt cover was wet from the tropical rain, so I went to my visitors quilts. I stood in front of them both and one looked good and knew it would suit my room better, but as I held them in my hands and felt the quality of them and which one was right for me, the one that did not look as good was the winner. I appreciated that I had built up this confidence in my body to feel what it was sharing with me. I have tried many different modalities but none of them have supported me to reconnect back to my soul, too be honest my soul was never spoken about outside of a religious environment. In the years that I have known Serge Benhayon the modalities he has brought forward have supported me and many others to understand the difference between the spirit and the soul and for me developing a connection back to my soul has been the most transformational self-discovery and as difficult and at times confronting as it has been it is also one that I'm so glad I took.

Right from day one Serge Benhayon has been a perfect example for me of expressing your heart in full, holding nothing back, loving people to the core, without an ounce of need, manipulation or expecting any particular outcome. He is a man who would not dream of leaving a single person behind, and is equally content if only one person responds to what he offers.

The fact that Serge Benhayon has a global reach is a wonderful reflection of humanity. It shows that people deep down do recognise love and truth and that there are many of us ready to embrace a greater awareness and responsibility.

I can echo your experience in having never met someone who did not impose how I should be until I met Serge - it was and is so refreshing and deeply empowering to have someone support you to come to your own knowing, and it's changed my life. And as you say he is not a global phenomenon and without any advertising at all, this is the thing with Universal Medicine, it leaves you alone and is there as you want to engage with it. There is no push to be there, or see anyone, it absolutely lives the fact that you decide in your way and your time without any inspiration, another example of how Serge walks his talk and does not impose on anyone.

Very true about the advertisement. I have never seen advertisement for Universal Medicine yet there are always people at the workshops and presentations. I feel it is when something is true people feel it and will go to it and will also share naturally with others like in the case with Universal Medicine. The less true something is the more advertisement you need to 'hook' people in.

Many of us, like you, have tried lots of different modalities and it really is up to each one of us to discern what is true or not. Therefore truth does not have to be advertised, it simply needs to be lived and in this way, will then resonate with the one and same truth within us unless we have lived in a way that has not been in sync with such truth. I know what you mean about all the modalities available in the Byron Shire as when we first moved up to this area of the Northern Rivers of NSW from Melbourne we were also overwhelmed by the number of modalities that were available. Some quite medieval and some quite bazaar. Finding someone like Serge Benhayon was like finding a breath of fresh air in a very hazy hippy dippy room. He never needed to advertise as once someone had had a session with him they knew he was the real deal as that this was extremely rare if not impossible to find elsewhere, so they naturally would recommend him. I recall having heard about Serge for some years before I felt to book in as I felt that I had to have something wrong with me to warrant a session! I never considered that my sad, anxious, frustrated state was enough reason to book!

Before meeting Serge Benhayon I dabbled in a few different healing modalities and what I found was there was always a dynamic of the practitioner or teacher being more superior or better than the client or student. I already put myself less than certain friends and family so I gave my power away to this setup as well. But with Serge, what I noticed was that he treated everyone around him as absolute equals and even when I would approach him trying to play out inequality he didn’t entertain it at all. His consistency, supported me and many many others to stop playing the game of better than less than and instead re-connect to their essence and power and share who they truly are with the world.

7. The truth of Serge's work really stands out in people, that is how I came to feel what Universal Medicine offers. I began working with a person who was a student of Serge's work and I could feel this person was consistently living and expressing love. 'A local global phenomenon' indeed he is - I first met Serge Benhayon in London on 2005, introduced by Chris James who met him in Australia, and when I moved to Somerset in 2009 I was just down the road from the bi-annual courses and workshops he presented. Now I live in Australia and his clinic is just 10 minutes' drive from my house. So he has been local to me for a number of years, but his expression is global - he works for the whole of humanity all over our planet, not just those present at his talks. Apart from the fact there are webcasts world-wide, the energy ripples out and everyone benefits. They don't all know it yet, many are resisting hard, but eventually the whole world will change, inspired by the love of this man and the Ageless Wisdom that he helps us to reconnect to.

Serge Benhayon has been unwavering in his open and warmhearted approach to everyone. I have seen him present, walk in the hallways and on the street, the way he communicates and hold himself whilst being and talking with people is from such depth of understanding (love) and truth, that he truly meets people right there. Trusting what I can feel in my body and to allow myself to read again the energy coming through other people are the gifts that have been given back to me, through the healing sessions with the practitioners of Universal Medicine. What I have come to understand through the workshops and presentations of Serge Benhayon is that most of us have locked ourselves away and thrown away the keys.
Today, I had a situation happen where I could have gone into victim mode, it's not worth it, life is too hard, why me. But instead I read the energy coming through the other person and realised that they are lashing out from a place of hurt and if I lashed back what would that gain? By reading the energy I have not enjoined and will just be love in my response because love is far powerful and very healing. So for me reading energy brings understanding.

Until I met the Benhayon family I had never ever experienced anything like this: 'It’s as if the world is their family and anyone who comes to meet and know them is treated and loved just as if they are a member of the blood family. There is no difference.'

I had some medical challenges in my life and the support I got from Serge was huge. By his love he supported me to surrender to the medical support what was needed as a part of the whole healing on both physical as energetic level. I heard about Serge Benhayon from a practitioner I was seeing and they suggested having a session with him. This is quite a few years back now, what Serge Benhayon offers is the possibility to reconnect to that part of us we let go of as children in order to fit into the world. Reconnecting back to my soul or God has not been the easiest journey but then that’s because I'm in so much resistance, but the reflection is always loud and clear that we are far more than we allow ourselves to be. If we were to let go of the need to control life would be so much more harmonious.

From a marketing and sales point of view, Serge Benhayon is already amazing. You must deliver something really good to go from a one person firm to a global phenomenon. Good to remember as a student body, that it is never about door knocking, and that also means door knocking on the internet, by shouting out loud with many posts, tweets, etc how great Serge his teachings are and how much benefit we got from them. Look at Serge: he only posts 5 or 6 post per year on Facebook for example. Without any push.

Those who find truth and love compelling will understand and be inspired - those who don't will not - and want to put down those who offer such a different way. History is full of such stories - and inspiring people are often recognised more after their passing for the offering they brought to humanity, cos the world isn't in a great place right now and needs inspiring honourable folk such as Serge Benhayon.

Yes one great advertisement is the many Universal Medicine students who have changed their lives around - having been inspired by Serge Benhayon and his presentations - and often now inspire others - as people we/they meet ask us why we look so well and often want to know more.

People become inspired when they see how students of Universal medicine have turned their lives around and look younger and more vital as they age. The love and openness that I personally experience nowadays is due to the inspiration of Serge Benhayon, who holds everyone equally with love - no imposing or judgement, but with an understanding second to none.

The question comes down to quality and inspiration, no doubt what Serge presents can challange a lot fo people. However for those willing to be honest with how life is, the answers are deeply supportive and mean that no self promotion is needed by Serge or Universal Medicine as the results more than speak for themselves.

The fact that people from all over the world have felt the great benefit in their lives from meeting Serge and adjusting how they live based on what feels true to them, no longer feeling they have to conform to do things that they don't feel are true is very inspiring. It is also equally true that everyone is free to have their own choices on how they live and what they value as important for them. For me its Universal Medicine training that I value deeply.

It is a testament to the quality and integrity of this man, that he has become well known and highly sought after as a practitioner and presenter, without any self-promotion or recruitment of any kind. One of the key reasons I reckon this has occurred is because he empowers people to make their own choices based on their own connection with what they feel is true for them rather than telling or lecturing anyone what to do.

When something is great, word of mouth is the only advertisement needed. When something is great and what is said by the media is ridicule, lies and slander and people still turn up... this is a great testimony to the product!

' I agree Suzanne this is a phenomenon how do you become a global and all loved organisation when you have never ever ever advertised? Never. Like for me first that on its own s something to reflect on, where a person is at that they do not want to advertise, it shows there is not once ounce of force, push or sell and yet to be known for your integrity, care and quality of what you do and loved by thousands globally, yep that is pretty amazing. Then again from knowing Serge for over 13 years I can hand on my heart say he is way more than amazing ✨

Serge Benhayon's success and the way he works is an amazing example of what happens when we put care, love and respect of people first. When we look at our current business model how many of them are about people first? My guess is not many. Serge Benhayon is setting the model for the rest of the world, showing us what is possible when we make life, work and everything we do about people and bringing purpose to all that we do.

So, “how do you become global without self-promotion?”, a question, I am sure, many so-called successful people would love the answer to, after having spent a whole lot of money on their own promotions, and still haven’t gone global. Well, to get this answer you only need to be in the company of Serge Benhayon for a very short period of time to know that you are in a presence of a very wise and very honest man, a man who is offering humanity another way to live, a way he lives for himself; no bells, no whistles needed, just the offering of love, truth and integrity, in bucket loads.

Yes, in an age where we are constantly bombarded with information & answers to all of our questions one would assume that if we are not heavy on the marketing, our business will go nowhere. We have an internet full of answers and different explanations as to why things happen, so we can try everything we want to solve all of our problems. And when we come to something that works permanently, not just for a couple of weeks and then we're back to the same old - we want to recommend that to friends & family. Not only that, those who see the changes that occur in life will actually enquire about it themselves - that is how a business grows naturally, without facebook marketing or huge posters on the motorway. It needs no constant reminder and advertising to ensure people get the message - for the truth stands and is felt by every part of our being.

I was on a walk recently and I came across a butterfly lying on the side of the road that had been damaged by a car as they drive so fast up and down the little road. As I pondered what I had seen it struck me that we are very much like butterflies we are extremely sensitive beings, but we have conjured a lifestyle that does not allow for us to feel the depth of our sensitivity and we so smash ourselves to pieces, just like the Butterfly was smashed to pieces by a speeding car. However I see things with a different perspective since meeting Serge Benhayon, my life has changed completely through my choices to behave in a way that was less like a perpetual train wreck, reign myself in and look after myself which meant dropping my guard and allowing my sensitivity out for all to feel and see. I wonder how the world would be if we all reconnected to the deep sensitivity that dwells within us. Serge Benhayon and many other has shown this is possible by living in a way that is self honouring and honouring of all others too, so we know it can be accomplished. My father who is long since dead used to say as long as there is a will there is way.
