Serge Benhayon – A life changing meeting

I have a very strong sense of what my life would look like now if I had not met Serge Benhayon and worked alongside him with Universal Medicine, The Ageless Wisdom and The Way of The Livingness.

From a very young age until my late thirties I adopted and lived many survival techniques to cope with life. I ran on nervous energy, was highly anxious and, as a mask for this, very controlling and perfectionist.
I skill-fully kept people at arm’s length, mastering social niceties and politeness to ensure I was not challenged. I am in no doubt that this would have perpetuated unchecked had I not met Serge, and I would be struggling now with a level of mental ill health that would be impacting my physical well-being and the health of all my relationships.
Many people have spoken about their first meeting with Serge and I remember mine well. Before the start of the first presentation I attended, he came and sat next to me for a moment to say hi to my brother who he already knew … we introduced ourselves and there was a quality to his presence and smile (a through and through, from the inside out ‘eye smile’)  that was something I had never felt before and completely made sense of my choice to be there that evening.
Since then and now in the 11th year that I have known Serge, I am still tickled pink to have made the choices I have made that have meant he is part of my life.
He is gentle, wise, unwavering, dedicated, committed and humble; a true friend, he does not hold back from saying what needs to be said, spotting when I am not being true to me and telling me so. He has shown, taught, shared with and inspired me so deeply; the integrity and consistency with which he lives is a remarkable reflection and point of inspiration and he has loved and respected me more than I have been willing to do for myself.

An eleven year journey that finds me enjoying being me – which is huge – and I continue to appreciate the opportunity to walk alongside Serge, a world teacher, and everyone I have met along the way.

Otto, I really can feel and appreciate the sentiment you have expressed about 2 spectacular people who have inspired you to live beyond anything that is currently lived today. If we add you as we surely must then there is 3 and actually there are so many more of us who have met Serge Benhayon and as a result of that meeting have made changes their lives, in living this way there is no end to the depth and quality we can share with everyone.

So true Mary. And so the inspiration that Serge Benhayon ignites ripples out through those who walk alongside him, an exponential evolution that returns to us our true purpose and as you say, a depth of quality that continues to deepen the more we embody and share our inherent, deeply loving integrity.

So, true Mary and Otto, the ripple effect of Serge Benhayon spreads far and wide, and that offers inspiration for all to live a different way. I have been so deeply inspired by those who have also been inspired by Serge Benhayon... the ripples just keep spreading out!

Mary I couldn't agree more with what you have shared here. Serge Benhayon has inspired so many people to make such huge changes in their lives that they are able to live in a way today that is beyond anything that I would ever have imagined possible before I met Serge, and far and beyond anything that most people live anywhwere in the world today.

What better testimonial than this? A brother vouching for his sister and acknowledging the changes she has made with the support of Serge Benhayon and the teachings of The Ageless Wisdom; and knowing that there is always more – more depth, more to learn, more to be aware of, more to let go of. Life is glorious and so are our relationships, within the family and with everyone, when we are students of The Way of The Livingness.

I could relate very much to living with anxiety and nervous tension, and trying to be perfect and devastated by failing miserably at that. If I had not met Serge Benhayon I would say I would be still using bulimia, be depressed, using drama, distractions, and nervous energy to get through life. Thankfully I did meet Serge, and through him holding me in my truth, I got a sense and confirmation of it too and slowly began letting go of what didn't belong.

In fact I find Serge Benhayon constantly sets a whole new standard for living every aspect of human life. Not because he is introducing anything 'new' per say, but because he chooses to constantly live according to the light of the Soul and so naturally keeps reminding us of the equal light we too could be living and expressing.

The word 'friend' doesn't capture adequately the steadiness, the care, the understanding or the transparency offered by Serge Benhayon. The man is a walking example of true connection between people.

"I ran on nervous energy, was highly anxious and, as a mask for this, very controlling and perfectionist." You know the thing is that this is often seen as normal in the current age, perfectionism is often seen as a good thing even though people are aware of that it should not be too extreme, it would definitely not been addressed as the fore-runner of mental ill health. But it is because it is a way of pressure on ourselves that is unnatural and is actually and ill way of thinking about ourselves and life. It is only when we start to address the root cause of these ways of coping with life, we now often call 'normal', that we can heal and understand and prevent the much more extreme cases of ill mental health.

Golnaz Shariaztadeh

Indeed until I met Serge Benhayon I considered these traits as 'normal' too and had a level of pride in how seriously I took life. Yet this, together with so many areas of life, has been turned on its head for me by the Serge Benhayon's steady and inspiring example. I now recognise the fear-based, controlling trait of the Spirit for what it is and know that true love, power and responsibility lies in aligning to the simplicity and natural flow of the Soul.

In just one presentation or a few words Serge Benhayon offers so so very much that is life changing. I have been truly blessed to be part of many moments along with hundreds of others with Serge Benhayon and continue to do so. The question I am currently asking myself at the moment is have I truly embraced all that has been and is given and live in a way according to this returning back to my truth. And while I know this is a life long unfolding process what I can feel is I have a lot more to let go of that is not truly me.

"An eleven year journey that finds me enjoying being me – which is huge – and I continue to appreciate the opportunity to walk alongside Serge, a world teacher, and everyone I have met along the way." Enjoying being me - most of us are so keen to pick criticism's with ourselves, or busy trying to 'get somewhere' in life, we don't stop to appreciate where we are and who we are. So how great to take the time to enjoy who we are right now.

When we are held in Love we know our potential, we reconnect with it. Serge Benhayon lives the Love and Truth he knows in his core, and he knows it to be within all of us equally. There is no doubt, this is the sort of reflection and role model that changes lives.

I didn't know what "held in love" meant before meeting Serge Benhayon, I had not ever experienced the love that is not about an intimate relationship, or about romance, or about family, but about a state of being. Knowing what true love is, is perhaps the greatest gift of all one can offer another.

Until I me until I met Serge a Benhayon I continued to hold a belief that only health was purely physical and that there was nothing wrong with me inside as I was doing well in almost every way on the outside. Your blog has got me pondering on how my life would be if I hadn't met Serge Benhayon and when I look back over 12 years the changes have been enormous. Apart from the visible changes in my appearance, having shed over 40 kgs, I have considerably de- stressed my life thanks to a much clearer understanding of relationships, our responsibility for choices and the energies that drive our every thought. I feel lighter both physically and mentally with an awareness that enables me to live in a less imposing way, with more vulnerability and more tenderness as the true woman I am.

My life was rather similar to yours Matilda, and it was about surviving the best I could without many moments of truly living. Even after meeting Serge I could have kept on making the same choices with the same unhappy outcomes but there was something deep inside that was whispering that the time to survive was over and that there was lots of wonderful living on offer. Love the expression Matilda, such a light hearted way to express the huge joy so evident in your photograph and a joy so many share too in appreciating the immense love that Serge Benhayon has restored to the world just by being himself. Knowing that being a perfectionist is an incredibly controlling way of running our lives, and is not going to achieve anything and in fact has a detrimental affect not only on ourselves but everyone around us is very humbling and an amazing healing. I so recognise myself in your first few paragraphs Matilda and looking back I am able to see how destructive this is to all relationships. Serge Benhayon is a master at being able to draw out our deeply hidden and very much protected skills we use to cope with life that hold us back from being our true and natural selves. I know that without his support I would be living in a way that to me seemed acceptable but was a million miles from the truth.

You make a great point Alison - 'living life in a way that to me seemed acceptable but was a million miles from the truth' - I agree and that was how I was living - I thought that it was normal to be anxious, stressed, tired, worried, as at least I didn't have a 'serious illness' - yet, all of that was so far from the truth of who we are. Through many years of being inspired by Serge Benhayon I have come to realise there is another way to live, and day by day I learn more and more through my daily living choices.

Like you Matilda to cope with life I ran on nervous energy, was highly anxious, and lived my life through complication. Looking back, to live this was is completely exhausting and so no wonder I ate foods that were stimulating my body and drank at times like a fish just to get through the day. I would go to bed feeling exhausted and wake up the next day just as exhausted as the night before. What a ghastly treadmill of life I led. Meeting Serge Benhayon didn't change any of this overnight, it has been a gradual development where I have tested out what Serge has presented and discovered for myself that what was said not only made sense it improved my life. Now I live in a way that is totally supportive and I wake up every day not in exhaustion but with joy; what a huge transformation!

When attending my first workshop with Serge Benhayon in 2008, it was very apparent that there was something very different from the stereotypical presenter. Everyone in the room was met in full with a quality of equal-ness I had never experienced before. This was the beginning of the deconstruction of old ideals. beliefs and behaviours that I thought had kept me'safe' and unchallenged - this big fat lie began to be exposed.

Truly beautifull to feel the depth of you and where you were in your life to where you are now. Very healing. Whilst reading your testimony what I got to feel was just how much more at ease I am within myself and my body (although this is forever deepening) and what came to me was just how much Serge puts people at ease within their body. Many many times throughout the 11 years I have known him whether it be standing near him or observing him I have felt myself give myself permission to just be just by being in his presence and way of living of how he is with himself. This alone is absolute magic.

We all learn 'survival techniques to cope with life.' from a very young age. And how crazy is this in a world that is supposed to give us a 'better' life. We champion 'better' but grab at an empty shell of what looks good but feels not so great at all, hence the need for survival mode.

It is possible and in fact so very normal to feel a vitality throughout your day that doesn’t ebb and flow with mood swings but that is held as steady as you feel throughout the day.
It is possible and very normal to feel like you have family everywhere from the richness of the relationships you have in your life.
It is possible and the most natural of all to live life everyday feeling amazing and forever going to a deeper level in the love for oneself and for the whole of humanity.
I have come to know this from living my life in the unending inspiration offered by Serge Benhayon.

Beautiful Mathilda, I can relate to the way you lived life prior to meeting Serge. In some many circles we would say that you were living in a ‘good’ way, with things all nicely under control. Yet what Serge Benhayon has helped me see if this is just a case of us going round in circles never developing or evolving. Whilst this may have a comfortable pull - it’s not what we are here to do. Here’s to the many who like you, have been inspired to make different choices and rediscover that we all have a deep joy underneath, just waiting for us to live it.

Serge always sees us for who we are, tender, precious and immensely wise beings and treats us as nothing less. "..that finds me enjoying being me – which is huge." I agree, it is huge. But if you step back and read these words in isolation, it is in fact utterly crazy that this is so huge; that such a simple, simple thing is, for so many of us, not the way it is. And then if you break it down further; 'enjoying' - how many of us know true joy rather than excitement, happy, fun - all of which are transient emotions rather than the deep stillness of joy. 'being' - how many of us can actually 'be', when the whole world is 'doing'. 'me' - how many of us truly know who 'me' is? So it is a pretty huge sentence that you have written Matilda! And deeply exposing of where many of us are at. All the more reason for gigantic appreciation of Serge Benhayon for making this sentence a reality.

I tried so many modalities in my 20's and 30's to 'fix' or heal me and nothing worked. However, with meeting Serge Benhayon just by him presenting simple words such as Stop and Feel started to enable me to do just that and to truly start to stop and feel what was going on in my body and life, which to be honest many of us do not want to do which is why we use tv, alcohol, smoking, food etc etc. But this was coming from a man that had stopped and had felt and in by doing this started to truly change things in his life. Two things I will comment for now from this blog. Serge Benhayon's integrity and walking along side of him. My appreciation for this man goes beyond the stars. What he has offered me IS beyond the stars. All he is inspired by in return is for the each of us to walk in equalness with him. I love this man.

"From a very young age until my late thirties I adopted and lived many survival techniques to cope with life. I ran on nervous energy, was highly anxious and, as a mask for this, very controlling and perfectionist." What a great insight Matilda and appreciation of where you are now – a million miles away. There is so much illness, both mental and physical that the definition of someone who is well has changed. You only need look around a supermarket at the wide range of pain killers and medications for this ailment or that to see that as a race we are not well. Serge Benhayon through the Way of the Livingness offers a different way of living, that contributes enormously to true wellness.

One of the greatest gifts we can offer one another in a world that is designed for us to live in denial of who we are at essence, is to reflect unwaveringly the fullness of that essence, and offer us the space to express the same way. Serge Benhayon has been such a reflection and welcome space for me since the moment I met him.

I have met Serge Benhayon now 9 years ago, and I have a strong sense what life would be like when I would not have applied the principles of his teachings. And still working on the basics, that life is about being the the body and not living from the head, making it about people. As simple as it seems, that remains a constant focus to be worked on.

Love the statement “I am still tickled pink to have made the choices I have made that have meant Serge Benhayon is part of my life”. Not only is it possible for pretty much everyone who knows him to say the same, but this phrase itself is an indication of the amazing support and inspiration he has been in my life and also for many many more people. For it to not be a theory or an ideal, but an absolute knowing that nothing is random, through luck or independent to us, and what are faced with in life has everything to do with our own choices.

Beautiful Mathilda, so often we continue on with life, taking foregranted how it is, assuming that it was always destined to turn out like this. If I had not met Serge Benhayon, living my life on nervous energy and anxiousness would have been my norm. Yesterday a situation arose where I felt myself going into nervous energy, an old behaviour of where I would place another and what was going on for them before me. ‘Let it go’ were words that supported me throughout the day. It showed me how far I have come from living every day in this energy to the occasional day or two where I drop into this behaviour. It is so beautiful as I get to know myself when I feel an energy I have allowed in that does not support me and all I have to do is be present enough to change my movements. In particular the combination of humble and yet not holding back from what needs to be said. This seems like a very special approach to life and to relationships that automatically builds trust, because when someone is without arrogance and yet tells it like it is, I personally find that I cannot help but listen to and want to actually learn from their wisdom. I remember meeting Serge Benhayon for the first time and it certainly was the moment when I was confirmed in all that I knew. That there is something more to us than the physical world and that it resided in our essence from within. What I found so mesmerising and sure was Serge's eyes as they spoke of everything that I knew. It was the first time I could see this in someone and I could start to feel it was alive in me too.

Every day I thank my blessings for having met Serge Benhayon. The person I am today is unrecognisable to the shy and nervous person I was 12 years ago. When we are empowered to reconnect to our inner love and wisdom, the whole world is richer for it.

Great question, for it is easy to forget the contracted and suppressed state of hurt I was living in then rather than the level of love and expression I am unfolding in steadily today.

It is an amazing thing, to open up and allow Serge Benhayon in to your life because ultimately this is allowing your own love to come to the fore and be expressed, as it did when you were a child so free and openly loving with every gesture word and sound, you held a love for people that was insurmountable. And now as an adult it can be challenging to live this same love in the world, but when Serge Benhayon comes along he says with his every movement that it is possible, that you can be sweet and loving and steady and stable.

If the eventual result of meeting and working with Serge Benhayon for everyone was "...enjoying being me..." as was the case for Matilda, our world would be transformed beyond measure as much of the conflict would disintegrate immediately upon that realisation.

Enjoying being ourselves, amazing when asked how we are or how we feel about ourselves most people would answer "Yeah I am OK" but why are we 'ok' with 'ok' there is more to life than surviving. S elf-Love, Self-Care and Self-Repsonosbiity in all areas of life as shared by Serge Benhayon changes lives. It is simple, no strange and deeply healing.

I know for sure that if I had not met Serge Benhayon 13 years ago my life would be a shadow of the amazing life it is today. My body was struggling and the emotional hurts I was carrying were threatening to swamp me at any given moment. From Serge's presentations my life, my health and the world around me have begun to make so much sense and once I chose to live with this wisdom as my support, my life changed out of all recognition.

'An eleven year journey that finds me enjoying being me...' I used to loath myself pretty much all the time. Life was torture - a mixture of avoiding people because I was afraid they'd show me how awful I was, and of being alone with myself and how horrible I was to myself. I may at times still feel uncomfortable being by myself or with others but there's a blossoming joy of being me independant of anything outside of myself. This is a miracle that's happened because Serge Benhayon reflects to us the love we truly are.

I too have a sense of my life and what it would be without Universal Medicine in it - and I was heading for that trajectory a few years ago. Anxious, living on exhaustion, not understanding my body and playing a victim of life. What a vast difference I feel now, surrounded by people who are so loving and supportive and truly inspiring.

Beautiful Matilda, what is so precious to feel in your writing, and also of others on these blogs is the fact we are all sparks of light that have for whatever reasons dimmed our natural light...and this has been reignited by one living true to that light in full. This is the inspiration that Serge Benhayon is and we can all equally be.

Survival skills indeed, we hunch up, grit our teeth and plough through life as it comes, this is not freedom, this is not living a fulfilling life. I am aware that many of us hold so much tension in our bodies through not being honest about how we feel, we treat ourselves rough and do not allow ourselves to blossom and reach our potential. Life is worth exploring, and not just settling with how things are - Serge Benhayon is remarkable man who talks simply,, no complication and accessible for all. He is a man of the people, and he speaks a lot of sense about he body, our health and out well-being.

How beautiful is to decide to let go of the frantic need to control life and to realize that being met with a huge love is the only way for this to be able to start healing the hurts that did not allow any true movement. I have found that the words ‘life-changing’ are often used indiscriminately to describe a change or two in someone’s life but for me when I use it in relation to Serge Benhayon it is absolutely true; my whole life as changed, not just a few things. Life before meeting Serge was challenging, full of ill-health and with very little joy. Life since meeting Serge has slowly become very enjoyable and my long-suffering body is becoming stronger and more vital. It hasn’t just happened overnight but it has been a commitment to learn to care for myself more deeply and honestly, and Serge has been there every step of the way, supportive, caring and sharing his immense wisdom without any expectations.

Serge Benhayon lives life in the world with the quality, which I would imagine if we were in heaven we would be living. The thing is although many of us have values in our heart that we hold dear, we have given up on the possibility that it is possible to live them in the world. Yet here we have someone who has certainly lived all the values I hold dear, shown me that they could go even deeper than I was settling for and has introduced loads more that I had not even considered.
It is a blessing that Serge Benhayon & his family live to this depth 24/7 and offer such an inspiration. And the glorious impact of this has been more and more people are choosing to live the same quality in their own lives.

How often do we go through life saying "I enjoy being me?" We may have great times, but what is this based on? Mostly this would be based on other people and activities that we are involved in, but rarely do we hear people saying what Matilda has said here. This is something that is extraordinary and thanks to the inspiration of Serge Benhayon that Matilda is able to claim this for herself. Gorgeous.

We don't think of ourselves as having a mental health problem but most of us do, especially if we are living a life that is full of stress and anxiousness. The way we live can pull us right down and Serge Benhayon is turning that on its head, showing us how we can help ourselves to improve our physical and mental health simply by making different choices in what we eat, how we move, how we are in our relationships and even in how we breathe. Everything we do has a direct effect on our health and as a result many hundreds of people are living with vitality and joy.

And what is truly empowering is that all that is reflected by way of how Serge Benhayon lives is his knowing that we all have the same equal power to live and inspire others with the truth of who we are guided by our Soul, where it all makes such beautiful sense.

I know for sure that I would be one very unwell woman, both emotionally and physically, which is the total opposite of what I am today. 'I have a very strong sense of what my life would look like now if I had not met Serge Benhayon and worked alongside him.' It's interesting how students have an understanding of 'working alongside' Serge Benhayon, or 'working with him'. In an ordinary sense, this suggests we are employed in work some capacity, paid or unpaid. What is extraordinary with Serge Benhayon is the pure equality he holds everyone in, then of course, every course, presentation and workshop is working with him or alongside him. Serge has said many times that we are all masters returning, so how would he hold us any less? Equalness is a basic principle.

15 years ago I was the most guarded, hurt, protected, arrogant person you could ever imagine to meet. Most would go into protection or hardness around me but Serge choose to still hold me in love. This alone was powerful enough for me to feel there was love out there and that I could open up. Never ever underestimate the power of expressing true love and the impact of not having a guard of protection around you.
