I cannot imagine and honestly do not want to imagine what my life would be like now without having met Serge Benhayon seven years ago. At this time, I was barely coping with life. I had significant health issues, I was 30 kg overweight, my relationship was falling apart, I didn’t like my work and I was struggling in my role as a mother. Overall not a great look and just when I felt life would never be different, I met Serge Benhayon.

This gentle, deeply loving man who held a steadiness within him that I had never felt before simply saw the real me and not the mess I was currently living in.

Being held with no judgment and feeling the love Serge lives in his own life, showed me there was another way to be in life. His steadiness and love has been unwavering as I slowly turned my life around to the point where now it is unrecognisable from seven years ago.

We all have moments in life where we meet certain people that have a great influence on us, bringing about change that can often steer us onto a more healthy path.

These defining moments in our life we remember and recall in an instant, they are stored in our memories and often shared as fond stories.
So what is it that defines these moments?

Many stories I hear are the ones where we have been met or seen for who we are; where simply a person has taken the care and time to show us that little bit extra, who has listened to us in the most needed of situations, having seen that there is something great inside us.

Serge Benhayon is one such person that truly meets people. But what really stands out is that he is the man of which thousands say is the person who provided that defining moment for them, that triggered a set of actions and ponderings that lead to positive change in their lives.

How has he been that man for thousands? Well very simply actually...

I first met Serge Benhayon 10 years ago in Sydney when he was invited to a meeting for our group of yoga instructors. At the time, I had no idea what a profound influence this inspirational man would have on my life. But I did sense that I was in the presence of somebody extraordinary.

What had led me to becoming a yoga teacher in the first place, was a long held belief that there must be more to living on this planet, than what I was experiencing. Yet, no matter how hard I tried, what I’d been looking for continued to elude me.

There are very few weeks in a lifetime that most people would look back and say “that was a defining week in my life, it changed everything”. Perhaps when a child is born, or a death of a close one, or other such major life event, but apart from that each week is pretty much the same. Today as I travel home from a Universal Medicine Retreat presented by Serge Benhayon I can say without any doubt or exaggeration my life will never be the same again.

The way I see myself, the understanding I have of who I am, and the lens I have not only of my personal history, but of the world as a whole is now the widest of wide angles with insights beyond anything thought possible.

We seem now to be living in an age where 'attention-grabbing' has risen in importance among the media to the point where 'shock value' is regarded as essential, if our increasingly numb and unresponsive selves are to sit up and take any notice. This phenomenon has spawned a host of self-publicists; people who have an innate talent for attracting our attention in spite of their apparent lack of any extraordinary qualities. These people today are referred to as 'Celebrities' and are apparently 'famous for being famous' and little else.

It is against this rather gloomy backdrop therefore, that there heaves defiantly into view, a man with Truly Extraordinary Qualities. A man who can quite undramatically present us with a series of ideas about living and being, that so penetrate our fibres that not only do we sit up and take note, but we actually start to change the way we live, because of one simple over-riding reason.

He is telling us the Truth. His name is Serge Benhayon.

When people ask me what is it about Serge Benhayon I have to say I wouldn't be there where I am without the teachings, revelations, healings and practicalities in life he brings through.

There is one thing Serge always and from the very beginning pointed out – we need to be discerning about the energy which is presented through any teacher or school – including him. It is not that I listen and follow the man Serge Benhayon – it is that I follow the light that shines through him.

It is the connection to his own Soul and with that to the One, the Universe and to God, where we all come from. This connection and how he lives this divine aspect of brotherhood and love on daily basis in a physical body very practically, is what has pulled me to this work from the first time I met him. This life style allowed me to make so many changes throughout the last 11 years.

My life turned from emotional drama, exhaustion and struggling into a life of responsibility, love and joy.

I write this testimonial, in honour of a truly great man, and in the wake of a hate campaign and media articles that have polluted our print and broadcast media in recent years. Articles fuelled by a very small few intent on smearing and tarnishing the name and reputation of Serge Benhayon, the health and wellbeing organisation he founded, Universal Medicine, and basically anyone associated.

“Brush it off” many say, and may well yet say. “Turn it off”, “don’t read it”, “don’t pay it any heed”... My response, and that of many, many others, is a categorical ‘no’ to such an approach. For it is categorically not ok that a man of such calibre, implicit integrity and deep care for all be so willfully tarnished in any way, shape or form. To resort to apathetic blinkered vision would offer no true way forward, for anyone.

Our societies and relationships today are plagued with a congenital level of distrust. We expect others to be fallible and ‘imperfect’, yes. But far deeper than that, we also harbour deep hurts that lead us to be ever wary, and commonly in expectation of being harmed, betrayed, impacted upon and all too frequently abused – including in our most intimate of relationships.

When I lived in the UK, I would attend courses presented by Serge Benhayon. I would sometimes wake in the middle of the dark winter night and look up to the main building where a light would beam from a small window. I would go back to bed and always, without fail, I thought of Serge's relentless love for us, for humanity, and for me. When we were all sleeping, Serge was awake, writing books and courses, responding to emails from all over the world and simply being a true servant to humanity, and to me. His relentless love is evident in his every movement, word and breath.

My childhood was a minefield of abuse, so by the time I met Serge in Sydney in 2001, I was anxious, distressed and unable to connect to who I was. In fact, I had no idea who the real Sarah was at that point. Quite honestly, it's a miracle that I survived.
