I can see how if we don’t hold and maintain a certain minimum standard of decency and respect with each other including how we communicate on the internet then this can fuel and escalate into the more extreme behaviours and harms that we rightly do not like or want in our society but are we ready and willing to accept our part in it all?

We are good at pointing the finger at the one that deals the final blow, and labeling them as ‘the abuser’. Yet what if the foundation of abuse is laid well ahead of such a moment and the start of abuse is actually a long way before the gross acts we later call abuse?

I very much like the idea of going to the answer NOW, and not settling for 'the next' solution. Lets go there and take our conversations where we would like them to go.

Gosh this feels delicious! Wow, loved and held to the point where even the raise of an eyebrow is considered. This is true love in a relationship, and something we all deserve and can have, we are just not choosing it so

There have been many times in my life where I haven't even so much as raised an eyebrow. My steely silence, stony face and hard body has communicated very clearly my utter contempt and at times disgust for a person. We are all communicating with each other constantly. That communication never ever stops.

Domestic violence is so much deeper than we have think, have you not experienced a time in your life where you felt completely crushed by the way a family member looked at you? The judgement & criticism spilling all over you like a pot of boiling water? Have you ever experienced the crush-down of having drawn something beautiful, only to be criticized and told that it can be done this way or that way - not because the person truly wants you to improve, but because the jealousy in them fures up & they just cannot handle seeing the light in your eyes? We don't think these are violent, we don't report such incidents to the police but the crushing effect they have on a person goes beyond measure.
